THE TIME HAS COME! THE TIME IS NOW!

Dr. Seuss wrote a book called The Time Has Come, The Time is Now in which he tells his character, “Marvin K. Mooney, you must go now!” It was a cute book to show a child that he or she must be obedient to one’s parents with respect to the laws that are made for the family for everyone’s good (In this case, “Child, you must go to bed now!”). So God in His book, The Bible, has given precept after precept to show that being obedient to Him, our Creator, is to bless Him and be obedient to Him with respect, knowing that all of His laws and precepts are to be followed and obeyed for His child’s good and for the good of all the family. The “time has come, the time is now” for Christians to

(1) Get in a place of intimacy with Jesus to hear His Voice on a daily basis,
(2) Have an expectancy – expect God to fulfill His promises to you,
(3) Go for revelation, beginning with the revelation of your
“daily bread”
that comes from reading and understanding God’s Word.

GET IN A PLACE OF INTIMACY WITH JESUS – Have a daily prayer time and a daily time of spending time in His Word. Prayer is a two-way street of communication. You should hear His Voice as you read and understand His Word. He should hear your voice as you talk with Him about your life and as you give Him praise for His goodness and grace! (John 1:12 "to as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name"; Revelations 3:20 "I stand at the door" (of your heart) "and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup" (fellowship) "with him, and he with Me").

HAVE AN EXPECTANCY – God’s Word will never fail! When you believe His Word for your life and expect, in faith, He will perform His Word in your life. (Psalm 18:30 "As for God, His way is perfect: the Word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust in Him." His way "is tried" and it all ways works. His Word never fails!; Romans 15:13 God is a God of Hope. "May the God of hope fill you up with joy" (an eternal substance, not temporal happiness). "Fill you up with peace" (no confusion, no strife), so that your believing lives!"

GO FOR REVELATION – Your “daily bread” is the provision that God has for you when you seek Him daily. He will “reveal” to you how to be an “overcomer” in this life and the eternal one to come, when you spend time in His Presence. He is the Answer to all of life’s problems, and He knows how to cause you to be a success – every time – through your obedience to Him and in your trust of Him. He is our Creator! There is nothing to hard for Him! Sometimes, it is “hard” for us to get in that right place of intimacy with Him to hear His Voice and then be obedient! You must respect that God has our best interest “at heart” and believe what His Word can do for you! (Psalm 18:28 . "For You will light my candle" (my lamp and my ability to see): the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness." You will give me revelation when I need guidance; Colossians 1:27 "Jesus is your hope of glory!"

Believers walk in “everything” that God has given as a privilege and an honor, and believers should give respect and honor to God the Father for those privileges. God has given us the office of a priest as a privilege and as a gift of service unto Him (Number 18:7); AND He has given the office of a king as a privilege of leading by submitting to His authority (Rev. 5:10). A priest enters within the Holy Place in the Temple to serve the Most High God, Jehovah God Almighty. Under the power of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the believer is called to minister the gospel as a priest and servant of God leading others in worship to our Creator. God has, also, given the believer the office of a king to have dominion and authority over the earth and all that is in it.

The believer has been chosen, elected, equipped, and upheld by God for a special priestly and kingly task. That task is to be an ambassador of reconciliation, obedient to proclaiming the “good news” and the name of Jesus that is above every name, delivering captives, and recovering sight to the blind. Amazingly the good news of salvation is offered through men, for Jesus Christ has chosen men to be his messengers, servants, and ambassadors. The priest in us is the ambassador of reconciliation while the king in us decrees and declares the good news of salvation. If the Church were deeply conscious of their divine task, they would recognize their time of visitation and serve the Lord with all of their talents and abilities realizing a great harvest of souls reaped. The Church should recognize that we are the weapons [the arrow of God’s deliverance] prepared by God, and in the hands of God, to destroy His enemy forever. This task can only be fulfilled as the Church learns that (agape/hesed) unconditional, everlasting love that motivates to action is the only weapon that will destroy evil. As kings and priests unto our Almighty God, we are to bring God’s love and salvation to the ends of the earth completing our task of obedience as a servant. Never-ending, unconditional (agape/hesed) love will find a way to reach the lost.
