PRIVILEGED POSITION

God has made man (mankind) in His image. We are loved, favored, blessed, and privileged to be made in the triune likeness of our Creator. However, great privilege and favor brings with it great responsibility to "become" and "act" like Jesus Christ, our Saviour, Lord, and soon coming King. There are several parables in Luke and Matthew that shows that a person must be responsible for his actions (Matthew 16:2-4; Matthew 18:23-35; Luke 9:23-27). In fact, the whole Bible tells man to be responsible by caring for his neighbor as he does for himself.

MAN'S PRIVILEGED POSITION:

1. Genesis 1:26-27 - Made in God's image (Likeness) - capable of spiritual perception and worship
2. Genesis 2:7 - Made by God's hand - The Living Potter (Jeremiah 18:2-6) formed man with His hands.
3. Genesis 1:26 - Priviledged with the ability of Leadership- Man is God's representative in the earth to carry out His will. As God's Representative, man is to have dominion and rule over God's enemy to extend the kingdom of God.
4. Genesis 1:29 - With God's provision, man has a bountiful good supply of fruit and grain. Genesis 9:3 - the provision of meat for man came with the Noahic Covenant.
5. Genesis 3:8 - Made in God's likeness, Man has the ability and choice of fellowshipping with God Almighty...a fellowship that is to be valued by respecting and fearing Him with obedience to His rule.

GREAT PRIVILEGE GIVES MAN THE GREAT RESPONSIBILITY TO BE OBEDIENT AND ACCOUNTABLE TO OUR MIGHTY GOD THAT CREATED MAN!
