HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS
REVELATION 3:5-6

(5) “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels.”
The overcomer will be dressed in the white garments of righteousness provided by the Lord through His selfless sacrifice. He gives each overcomer the gift of a robe of righteousness to wear to cover his spiritual nakedness. The perfect purity of grace shall be rewarded with the perfect purity of glory. The Lord says that He “will not blot out” the name of an overcomer. It seems that every person that He has ever created is listed in that Book of Life, for He does not say He “will write in any name,” but rather a name can be blotted out. Since Jesus became the blood-sacrifice for mankind, it is horrendous that anyone’s name should have to be blotted out. Yet Jesus gave each person a free will as a free human agent to choose “Life” or “death.” Because He made a way for everyone to know Him, receive Him, and thereby receive eternal life, it is sad to know that so many have chosen death and hell. Christ will reveal the Book of Life, the register of all who shall inherit eternal life, to the Father and all His angels. We have the promise of this again in Matthew 10:32, 33: “Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.”
(6) “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Jehovah God was so intent upon mankind knowing His instruction for “life” that He implores man over and over to “hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.” The fervor of the Spirit is arduous as He accentuates to mankind: “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to Me; hear Me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you; My faithful love promised to David” will also belong to you (Isaiah 55:1-3). He earnestly desires that all who will believe in Him come for the Living Waters of Life that a person receives when He accepts Jesus Christ, the Messiah of the lineage of David, as Lord and Saviour and receives the Living Waters of salvation for an eternity forever with God Almighty. He wants believers to buy wine…that is be filled with the Holy Spirit and bubble over with the new wine of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance, which releases the power of God into a person’s life. God longs for believers to buy milk of Him…that is be fed with the sincere milk of the Word that a person can be established in his (her) commitment to the Lord and His ways. Why would you spend your money on carnal games, impure movies, worldly parties, and tainted things of the world that will add nothing to your eternal life or satisfy your spiritually hungry soul? Why not eat the Living Bred of the Word that satisfies your need to know and worship God? Why work and work for worldly success that will one day fade away, when you can work the works of Jesus and lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21)? God wants each believer to build his (her) life upon Him and do the works of Jesus that bring satisfying, eternal rewards, as well as rewards here. Jesus informed believers, “Everyone that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name’s sake, he (she) shall receive a hundred fold (in this life), and shall inherit everlasting life (Matthew 19:29). God’s eyes are always looking to see if there is one person that deals honestly with others and seeks the truth of His Word (Jeremiah 5:1; 2nd Chronicles 16:9; Zechariah 4:10). Those who seek Him and walk in His ways He can bless and reward here on earth, as well as in heaven. Each person that humbles himself before God, God will exalt in His timing to a position of higher living in Him (1st Peter 5:6). Each person at that Day of the Judgment Seat of Christ will give account of himself to God and will be rewarded according to the things that he has done in the body here on earth, whether they be pure works or impure ones (Romans 14:10, 12; 2nd Corinthians 5:10). He that has an ear for spiritual understanding let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches that need to repent of wrong doings and seek His righteous ways and know His requirements for successful living.
