HOW DO WE CHRISTIANS KNOW GOD,
JEHOVAH ALMIGHTY!
WHAT ARE THE EVIDENCES THAT A CHRISTIAN CAN KNOW GOD?
WE KNOW THAT WE KNOW GOD ALMIGHTY:
1st John 2:3 – “And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.”
1st John 2:29 – “If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone that does righteousness is born of Him.”
1 John 3:14 – “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.”
1 John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1st John 5:18; 2:13 – “We know that whosoever is born of God sins not” (does not practice sin) “but he that is begotten of God” (born-again of God’s Spirit) “keeps himself, and that wicked one touches him not.” “I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known Him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because you have known the Father.
John 8:31-32; 1st John 2:14 – “If you continue in My word, then are you My disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” “I have written unto you, fathers, because you have known Him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you and you have overcome the wicked one.”
John 15:18; 17:16; 1st John 2:15 – “If the world hate you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.” “They” (my disciples) “are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” “Love not the world, neither the things” (human commitment to society) “that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
John 17:11, 21; 1st John 2:18-19 – “And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to Thee. Holy Father, keep through Thine own name those whom Thou has given Me, that they may be one, as We are.” “That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that Thou has sent Me.” “Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They” (hypocrites in sheep’s clothing with no godly integrity) “went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”
1st John 4:4; 2:20, 27 – “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them” (those with spirit of antichrist): “because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” “But you have an unction from the Holy One, and you know all things.” “But the anointing which you have received of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.” (Christ has given “all things that pertain unto godliness” to the Church. The anointing (or ointment) is the anointing of the Holy Spirit with His gifts and graces for the Church to know and be filled with the knowledge of Christ Jesus.)
John 1:1-2; 1st John 2:22 – “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” “Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denies the Father and the Son.”
1st John 1:1-2; 2:24-25 - “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.
John 15:1-6; 1st John 2:26-28 – “I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that bears not fruit He takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, He purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me. I am the Vine, you are the branches. He that abides in Me and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing. If a man abides not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” “These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you” (antichrist), but the anointing which you have received of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, you shall abide in Him. And now, little children, abide in Him, that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him as His coming.” (God has appointed “teachers” to teach His Word in the church. This verse does not say you do not have to listen to “teachers,” but it does mean that you have a responsibility to know if a “teacher” is teaching God’s anointed Word or not. The Holy Spirit will witnesses to you if you have ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying through what the teacher is saying.)
1st John 2:29; 2nd Corinthians 5:17, 18, 21 – “If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone that does righteousness is born of Him.” “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation.” “For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”
