BIRTHDAYS
Since today is my birthday, actually the anniversary of my birth day, I began thinking on “birthdays.”
In Judaism Rosh Hashanah is a celebration of the “birthday” of the whole World…that is Adam’s birth day and humanity’s birth day.
A Christian has a birthday of being born into this world, and another “birth day” of being born again “in Christ Jesus” into an eternal world that will one day be with King Jesus, Lord and King of the Universe.
According to one Rabbi, your “birthday” is a day when you are spiritually strong and have a “hot line” to heaven... Your “birth day” is the day that God appointed for you to be born into this world…and this is the day of Truth and Grace that God has appointed for mankind to acknowledge and obey Him. To use your birthday wisely would be to celebrate spiritually by pulling apart to worship God to receive the guidance and wisdom that you need for your eternal life to bring you into the fulfillment of your destiny with Jehovah God. God has created you “unique” by creating you in His image, and yes, you are the “only” one like you in over billions of people, who are also unique in their personality and temperament. What a great testimony to the ingenious, creative abilities of our Almighty Jehovah God! To use your birthday foolishly would be to celebrate with carnal drinking and partying…only temporary things of the flesh…that will leave you wondering why you were born. But to know God loves you and has given you everything you will every need in Christ Jesus is priceless!
